Repairs to the damaged Wrights Mill Road bridge continued throughout the weekend.

On Monday, May 6, the contractor was able to pour concrete.  The contractor will continue with minor work while waiting on the concrete to cure.

Once the concrete has completed curing, the bridge will be reopened and the contractor will begin removing the barrier wall on I-85 North.

The contractor, Scott Bridge Company, has progressed work around the clock since they began work on Tuesday, April 30.

Due to the location of the damaged part of the bridge and for the safety of crew members, Wrights Mill Road bridge and one lane on I-85 North were closed.

The Wrights Mill Road bridge was damaged during a crash on Saturday, April 27. ALDOT completed inspection and finalized repairs on Monday, April 29.

Travelers should continue to seek alternate routes through the City of Auburn or until further notice.
