An Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) resurfacing project on I-85 in Montgomery begins Sunday, May 10, weather permitting.

The project includes resurfacing and traffic striping on I-85 from Ann Street (Exit 3) to Eastern Boulevard (Exit 6).

Crews will limit lane closures to Sundays through Thursdays from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.

ALDOT urges drivers to plan accordingly for possible delays and be mindful of people and equipment in the work zone.

The approximately $3.9 million project was awarded to APAC-Alabama, Inc., out of Birmingham, who had the lowest bid that met the project requirements.  The project is expected to be completed in Fall 2026.
