The Alabama & Gulf Coast Railroad has scheduled improvements to the railroad crossing on US-43 (Telegraph Road) at Jarvis Drive in Mobile, in coordination with the Alabama Department of Transportation.
The work will require a full closure of the crossing for two days, beginning May 19, 2026, with an anticipated reopening on May 22, 2026.
During the closure, posted detour signage will direct motorists to use:
- SR-158
- I-65
- I-165
- Alt. 90 / Bay Bridge Road
Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and use caution when traveling through the area.
