The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) will temporarily close the bridge on SR-81 (Tuskegee Street) over the railroad in Notasulga, beginning Monday, Aug. 17.
The bridge will be closed for maintenance repairs on weekdays from approximately 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Repairs are expected to take two weeks to complete.
A signed detour will be in place throughout the closure.
Motorists traveling south on SR-81 will take SR-14 West to SR-199 South back to SR-81.
Motorists traveling north on SR-81 will take SR-199 North to SR-14 East back to SR-81.
ALDOT urges drivers to plan for possible delays and be mindful of people and equipment in the work zone.
