The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) maintenance project to replace pipes on SR-605 in Rehobeth and Taylor continues Tuesday, Sept. 1, weather permitting.
Crews expected to replace both pipes this week, but unforeseen circumstances caused them to only complete one.
Crews will replace the remaining pipe on SR-605 near Coleman Road beginning Tuesday.

ALDOT remains in constant communication and coordination with the Town of Rehobeth, the City of Taylor, and the Houston County Board of Education as it prepares for temporary closures to safely perform the necessary replacements.
Trucks must use SR-109, US-231, and SR-52 during closures, and local traffic should seek alternate routes.
Once the entire maintenance project is complete, plans to resurface SR-605 can move forward.
ALDOT advises drivers to plan for potential delays. Please stay alert for workers and equipment throughout the work zone.
Schedule updates with specific closure locations will be posted to ALDOT News, ALDOT social media channels and through the Town of Rehobeth and City of Taylor.
