Pipe replacement project on SR-605 begins Monday

An Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) maintenance project to replace two pipes on SR-605 in Rehobeth and Taylor begins Monday, Aug. 24, weather permitting.

New Jefferson County DDI bridge passes inspection as project nears completion

A new bridge built for Jefferson County's future Diverging Diamond Interchange has passed inspection.

Work to build Jefferson County’s first Diverging Diamond Interchange is reaching a significant milestone. The project will transform Exit 104 on I-59/20 at McAshan Drive in McCalla.

Resurfacing, access management improvements underway on US-280 in Alexander City

Resurfacing and access management on US-280 in Alexander City

The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) is carrying out resurfacing and access management upgrades on US-280 in Alexander City.

The project stretches from the intersection of SR-63 to the Dadeville Road junction.

In addition to resurfacing three miles of roadway, this construction also includes guardrail installation, access management, traffic striping and more.

CR-87 at I-10 in Baldwin County to remain closed through the first days of school

Motorists in Baldwin County should be aware that CR-87 at I-10 will remain closed through the first days of the 2026-2027 school year.

The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) originally anticipated reopening CR-87 this week. However, construction delays will require the closure to remain in place Wednesday, August 12, through Friday, August 14.
