Resurfacing of SR-64 in Lauderdale County to begin

Resurfacing of SR-64 between SR-101 and SR-207 in Lauderdale County will begin soon.

Resurfacing of SR-64 in Lauderdale County will begin Tuesday, June 16, weather permitting.

The $1.4 million project will resurface eight miles of SR-64 from SR-101 in Lexington to the junction of SR-207, north of Anderson.

The resurfacing by contractor Asphalt Paving Systems includes a microsurface seal coat and scrub seal.

Lane closures

ALDOT advises motorists to expect delays due to single-lane closures. A pilot vehicle and flaggers will direct traffic.

ALDOT anticipates completion in mid- to late summer.
