ALDOT crews began modifying the traffic signal at US-280 and US-80 in Phenix City Tuesday evening, July 21.
Modifications to the signal are expected to be completed by the morning of Thursday, July 23.
Once modifications are complete, the dual left turn lanes from US-280 south onto US-80 will be open. The right turn from US-280 north onto US-80 will now be signalized.
Travelers should remain aware of people and equipment in the work zone.
Work on the US-280 and US-80 intersection began last fall and is expected to be completed early Fall 2026.
