An Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) resurfacing project on SR-165 in Russell County begins Tuesday, April 15, weather permitting.
The project will take place on SR-165 from SR-208 to New Hope Church Road.
This project includes micro-milling, resurfacing, and traffic stripe.
Motorists should expect lane closures and reduced speed limits throughout the project. ALDOT urges drivers to plan accordingly and remain cautious around people and equipment in the work zone.
The approximately $1.5 million project was awarded to Asphalt Paving Systems, Inc., out of Hammonton, N.J., who had the lowest bid that met the project requirements. The project is expected to be completed by Fall 2025.
