Crews will begin striping and moving a concrete barrier wall to shift traffic on SR-180 to a portion of newly constructed SR-180 (Canal Road) on Monday, May 5. Traffic will now utilize a portion of the newly constructed roundabout as part of this new traffic pattern.

This traffic shift will take one day to complete. Traffic can expect a one-lane flagging operation between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Monday, May 5 to facilitate this shift.

Drivers can expect:

  • Construction vehicles entering and exiting the roadway
  • Concrete barrier wall near the travel lanes

ALDOT urges motorists to use caution, watch for flaggers, prepare to stop and follow posted signage. Motorists should also obey the reduced 35 mph speed limit through the work zone.
