Beginning at 7 p.m. on Monday, June 16, weather permitting, the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) will close the right lane of US-280 eastbound for milling between Shades Creek Parkway and the I-459 Interchange. Beginning at 9 p.m., ALDOT will close the right two lanes of US-280 eastbound.
All travel lanes are expected to re-open at approximately 6 a.m. on Tuesday, June 17.
These same lane closures will be in place from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Tuesday, June 17, through Friday June 20.
Motorists are requested to consider using alternate routes and adjust arrival/departure times. Motorists should also observe work zone speed limits and other work zone signs, and use extreme caution in this area. For real time traffic updates, visit ALGOTraffic.com.
