A $1.1 million paving project on SR-291 in Gadsden will begin next week, weather permitting.

The project includes milling and resurfacing the entirety of SR-291 from US-431/US-278 to SR-759, about one mile.

Motorists are advised to expect single-lane closures from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday nights through Thursday nights once resurfacing operations begin. However, initial work will consist of concrete curb ramp repairs performed in daytime with intermittent closures of side streets only.
