An Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) resurfacing project on SR-14 in Elmore County begins Monday, July 7, weather permitting.
The project will take place on SR-14 from Jackson Street in the town of Elmore to SR-212 in Wetumpka.
The project includes resurfacing, traffic striping, and guardrail installation at specific locations within the SR-14 project limits.
Motorists should expect lane closures and reduced speed limits throughout the project. ALDOT urges drivers to plan accordingly and remain cautious around people and equipment in the work zone.
The approximately $3 million project was awarded to Asphalt Contractors, Inc., out of Montgomery, who had the lowest bid that met the project requirements. The project is expected to be completed in Fall 2025.
