Weather permitting, on July 7, 2025, the Alabama Department of Transportation and its contracted partner, James Paving Company, LLC will conduct asphalt paving repair at multiple locations on I-65 northbound and southbound between milepost 259 and 271 in Jefferson County.
Lane closures will begin at 8 p.m. and end by 5 a.m. the following day. This operation is estimated to be completed by July 18, 2025.
Motorists are requested to consider using alternate routes, adjust arrival/departure times, observe work zone speed limits and work zone signs, and use extreme caution in this area. ALDOT thanks motorists for their patience during this Maintenance Operation to improve Alabama’s roadways.
