This weekend, weather permitting, the contractor will shift the center lane closure on US-231.
Currently, the center lane on US-231 is closed from SR-87 to First Street. Once work is complete in that area the center lane will be reopened and the center lane from First Street to George Wallace Drive will be closed.
Motorists are advised to plan accordingly for delays and to be mindful of people and equipment in the work zone.
The access management project began in November 2024 and remains on track to be completed during the summer. Once completed, the corridor’s traffic efficiency and safety will increase.
