Weather permitting, beginning on Thursday, July 10, 2025, the Alabama Department of Transportation will be performing pavement testing in various locations on SR-7 (US-11) in Jefferson County from I-459 to Watterson Parkway.
Between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m., the northbound and southbound outside lanes on SR-7 (US-11) will be closed one lane at a time temporarily from I-459 to Watterson Parkway.
Motorists can expect delays during these operations. Motorists are also requested to consider using alternate routes, adjust arrival/departure times, observe work zone speed limits and work zone signs, and use extreme caution in this area.
