The resurfacing project on SR-67/Beltline Road in Decatur will soon advance to the next phase, resurfacing between Danville Road and SR-24/Gordon Terry Parkway.

With all through lanes of SR-67/Beltline Road between US-31/Sixth Avenue and Danville Road paved, Grayson Carter and Son Contracting may begin patching and milling the northern segment of the project.

Simultaneously, the contractor will continue paving intersections, crossovers and turn lanes on the southern segment of the project.

Nightly lane closures

Motorists should expect lane closures from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly, Sunday nights through Thursday nights. A minimum of one lane in each direction will remain open.

ALDOT advises motorists to reduce speed in the work zone and remain especially cautious when crossing at intersections or entering turn lanes and crossovers. Additionally, traffic signals may experience disruptions to normal operations during the resurfacing process.
