A US-231 resurfacing project in Troy will begin soon. The contractor began installing signs this week in preparation for the start of the project.
The project will include resurfacing, guardrail installation, and traffic stripe on US-231 from US-29 to Diamond Drive in Troy.
Motorists are advised to plan accordingly for delays and to be mindful of people and equipment in the work zone.
Lane closures are permitted Sunday through Thursday 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.

The $2.9 million project was awarded to APAC-Alabama, Inc., out of Birmingham, Ala., who had the lowest bid that met the project requirements. The project is expected to be completed Summer 2026.
