The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) will implement rolling lane closures Wednesday, March 18, to set girders for the new bridge over Big Creek on US-82 in Coker.

Crews plan to place six girders, which are used for supporting the weight of the bridge. Eastbound traffic on US-82 will be stopped for a maximum of 20 minutes at a time during each girder placement.

Crews placed girders for the westbound section of the bridge last fall.

No lane closures will take place before 8:30 a.m. or after 2:30 p.m. to reduce the impact to traffic. Law enforcement will assist with traffic control.
