A $1.9 million resurfacing project on SR-20 in Lawrence County will begin Monday, April 6, weather permitting.
Grayson Carter and Son Contracting will mill, resurface and stripe more than five miles of the divided four-lane highway from west of Kirby Road in Hillsboro to SR-33 in Courtland.
Expect lane closures
Motorists should expect daily single-lane closures in either direction. For real-time traffic and road condition information, visit ALGOtraffic.com or download the ALGO Traffic app.
ALDOT anticipates completion this summer.
Last year, contractor Wiregrass Construction resurfaced 5.5 miles of SR-20 from the Morgan County line to just east of the current project.
