The $7.2 million replacement of the US-43/US-72/Mitchell Boulevard bridge over SR-20 in Florence reached a milestone this week when contractor Miller & Miller poured concrete for the northbound bridge deck early Tuesday.

Miller & Miller poured about 150 cubic yards of concrete, transferred onto the bridge via a boom pump. Workers leveled the concrete as it was poured, then finished the surface that will carry traffic in the future.
