The Alabama Department of Transportation resurfacing project on North College Street (SR-147) in Auburn begins Monday, February 5.
The project consists of shoulder widening and resurfacing from Shug Jordan Parkway to U.S. Highway 280. Lane closures and a reduced speed limit are possible throughout the project.
Motorists are advised to plan accordingly for delays and be mindful of equipment and people working in the work zone.
ALDOT awarded the project to East Alabama Paving Company, Inc., out of Opelika, Ala., who had the lowest bid that met project requirements, at a cost of approximately $1.3 million. The project is expected to be completed in Spring 2024.
