Headed to the beach? Here’s when (and how) to beat the traffic!

With the summer travel season shifting into high gear beginning Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend (May through September,) the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) wants to help you enjoy the sunshine, sand—and ease into traffic.
