ALDOT suspends temporary lane closures ahead of Hurricane Isaias

ALDOT will suspend temporary lane closures on interstates, U.S. highways and state routes in 10 southern Alabama counties from 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, through 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 11, ahead of Hurricane Isaias.

Stanley Avenue resurfacing project in Andalusia begins Tuesday

An Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) project on SR-15 (Stanley Avenue) in Andalusia begins Tuesday, Aug. 25, weather permitting.

The project will take place on SR-15 from SR-55 to US-84.   

This project includes micro-milling, resurfacing, and traffic striping.

Stanley Avenue railroad crossing closed for repairs Thursday

The Stanley Avenue railroad crossing in Andalusia will be closed Thursday, Feb. 19, for repairs.  

Pinsly Railroad Company, owner of the railroad crossing, will close the section of tracks on Stanley Avenue near Tisdale Street to complete repair work.

Motorists should seek an alternate route and plan accordingly for possible delays.

The Alabama Department of Transportation resurfacing project on US-29 in Andalusia starts Monday, August 5, weather permitting.

The project extends from US-84 to Max Barton Road.
