ALDOT to host 67th Transportation Conference in Birmingham

The 67th Annual Alabama Transportation Conference will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, and Wednesday, February 7, 2024, in Birmingham, Alabama at the Birmingham Jefferson Convention Complex (BJCC).

The Alabama Transportation Conference is developed by the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at Auburn University in partnership with ALDOT. The annual event is sure to provide an opportunity to share innovative advances in transportation planning, design, construction, operations and maintenance.

Participants will have the opportunity to attend many different sessions. Session topics include; Road Safety, Communication and Funding, Accelerated Bridge Construction, Concrete Solutions, Environmental topics and many more.

With almost 1000 attendees expected, technical sessions will create a forum for the exchange of ideas among all transportation professionals.

Attendees will hear from Transportation Director John Cooper on that Tuesday at the Director’s luncheon and Gov. Kay Ivey  will provide a speech during the governor’s luncheon on Wednesday.
