Weather permitting, a portion of SR-69 in Jasper will be closed in both directions beginning at 6 a.m. on Monday, April 1, through midnight on Friday, April 5. The closure will be limited to the area near SR-5. The closure will allow contractors to place girders for a new bridge and perform other necessary work on SR-5 that travels over SR-69.

Entrance and exit ramps will remain open throughout the closure. Motorists should expect delays and are encouraged to plan alternate routes.

This work is part of the bridge replacement and intersection improvement project that is intended to improve safety, quality of life and economic development for our state. The project is expected to be completed by the end of the year.

Wright Brothers Construction Company was awarded the project at $8.8 million.
