The Alabama Statewide Transportation Plan provides a long-range vision for the state's transportation system and helps guide investment decisions across all modes of transportation. ALDOT is updating the plan and encouraging public input through a series of regional public involvement meetings.

The Alabama Department of Transportation’s East Central Region will host a public involvement meeting on July 16, 2026, from 5 to 7 p.m. The public is invited to discuss and comment on the Statewide Transportation Plan (SWTP). Comments received during the meeting will help shape Alabama’s next Statewide Transportation Plan.
