The Wheeler Dam will be closed to all traffic from 7 p.m. Friday, March 20, to 5 a.m. Monday, March 23, TVA said.

A contractor will soon begin the $7.2 million replacement of the US-43/US-72/Mitchell Boulevard Bridge in Florence. For much of the two-year project, traffic will be rerouted due to the closure of US-43 northbound/US-72 eastbound crossing the Mitchell Boulevard bridge and closure of SR-20 under the bridge.

Work will begin Thursday to install new signal poles and other signal upgrades at SR-69 and Sunset Drive in Guntersville.

Work to install new signal upgrades at SR-69 and Sunset Drive in Guntersville will begin Thursday, Feb. 19, weather permitting.
