US-431 paving in Albertville, Boaz now complete

Apr 03

Paving on 7 miles of US-431 in Marshall County is now complete. Only final traffic striping, pavement markers, and other minor work items remain on the $6.5 million resurfacing project that stretches from the Etowah County line to SR-75 in Albertville.

Striping is scheduled to begin Monday, April 8, weather permitting. Motorists are advised to expect moving single-lane closures during daytime.

Temporary paint stripes are used during construction. After the final pavement layer has been placed and cured, lanes and other markings are striped with thermoplastic containing reflective glass beads. Some roadway features are additionally delineated using reflective raised pavement markers.
